So excited to announce I’ll be moderating a panel at this year’s Bay Area Book Festival. Definitely one of my dreams come true as a writer. The Bay Area Book Festival is an annual celebration of literature, community, and art based in South Berkeley. There will be plenty of authors, writers, and artists traveling from all over to attend.
The main programming runs from Friday May 29th to Sunday May 31st. I encourage you to check out their schedule of events and hopefully you’ll catch me at some of the Saturday classes! Did I mention that this entire offering is free? In times where art is being defunded, this is an incredibly community offering.
My panel will be on Sunday, May 31st at the BART Plaza Stage at 12:30PM. I will be interviewing Jason Bayani, Osmani Ochao, Logan Phillips, and Danielle P. Williams about their current books and forthcoming projects, under the lense of decolonial poetics. This panel encompasses many beloved subjects of mine, including poetry to post-colonial theory. See you there!
